Mitch Clement
Lead Water Resources Engineer • Optimization Analyst

Mitch Clement holds a BA in Ancient Languages from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, as well as BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado. He worked as a graduate research assistant at CADSWES where he completed his master’s thesis: “A Methodology to Assess the Value of Integrated Hydropower and Wind Generation.”

As a lead water resources engineer and optimization analyst, he works in close collaboration with RiverWare end users to develop RiverWare models used in operations, planning, and research contexts, specializing in hydropower optimization models. He also coordinates, reviews and tests RiverWare software enhancements, provides user support, and teaches RiverWare training courses. Mitch is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Colorado.
