In October, Edie Zagona attended the 60th Anniversary celebration of the China Institute of Water and Hydropower Research (IWHR) in Beijing and gave a keynote address for the International Symposium on Water System Operations as a part of that celebration. She reviewed the IWHR’s water and hydropower research projects and gave lectures for three days to graduate students and postdocs on river system and hydropower operations and planning.
Edie also attended the annual meeting of the Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society in Nanchang, gave a keynote address to that meeting and evaluated young scientist presentations competing for funding to attend international conferences. Going forward, CADSWES hopes to participate in IWHR’s new initiative for foreign collaborative research.
